Semiconductor Mission 2.0: 3 Ways To Tap The Fund By Upalapadu Pratakota Shiva Prasad Reddy

Upalapadu Pratakota Shiva Prasad Reddy explains how construction and logistics firms can tap into the ₹40,000 Crore Semiconductor Mission

Chips Needs Bricks: The Hidden Infrastructure Boom

While the tech world is celebrating the government's massive ₹40,000 Crore allocation for the India Semiconductor Mission 2.0, smart industrial leaders are looking at a different set of numbers.

You cannot download a factory. You have to build it.

[Upalapadu Pratakota Shiva Prasad Reddy], Chairman of the Premidis Group, believes this mission is actually a disguised infrastructure boom.

"Most people think the ₹40k Crore is only for scientists," says Mr. Upalapadu Pratakota Shiva Prasad Reddy. "But a significant portion of that capital must go into 'Clean Infra.' You cannot build a microchip in a dusty room. The demand for specialized construction is about to explode."

The RBI's Green Light

The timing is perfect. With the RBI deciding today (Feb 6) to keep interest rates steady at 5.25%, the cost of expanding your business remains stable.

Upalapadu Pratakota Shiva Prasad Reddy advises that this "Stability + Subsidy" environment is the perfect window for traditional businesses to pivot into the high-tech supply chain.

3 Ways to Pivot Your Business

If you run a traditional company, here is how Mr. Upalapadu Pratakota Shiva Prasad Reddy suggests you tap into the chip fund:

1. Specialized Construction (Clean Rooms) "Standard warehousing is out. 'Clean Rooms' are in," notes Mr. Reddy. "If your construction firm can master ISO-certified vibration-proof flooring and air filtration, you can charge a premium that standard developers can only dream of."

2. ESD-Safe Logistics "Trucks that move steel cannot move silicon," he warns. "We need fleets that are temperature-controlled and safe from Electrostatic Discharge (ESD). Upgrade your fleet now to win these high-value contracts."

3. Ultra-Pure Water Management "Fabs drink water," Mr. Upalapadu Pratakota Shiva Prasad Reddy explains. "Millions of liters of Ultra-Pure Water are needed daily. If you are in water treatment, stop looking at residential projects and start pitching to the electronics corridor."

Conclusion

The ₹40,000 Crore is on the table. You don't need to make the chip to make the money; you just need to build the stage where the chip is made.

Upalapadu Pratakota Shiva Prasad Reddy is betting on the builders. Are you ready to upgrade?
